Spy Shots: The 2009 Ducati Monster 1100

Here they are, the world’s first pictures of the 2009 Ducati Monster 1100 that only recently hit the internet. We all knew Ducati wouldn’t go too long without updating it’s Monster line, and now here it is.

It looks like the bike keeps its dry-clutch, and the instrumentation is digital just like the 690cc. The 2009 Ducati Monster 1100 is basically a 696 with the 1100CC DS engine installed. But compared to the 696, the air-cooled 1100 offers 15 more horsepower (95bhp) and 26 more lb/ft of torque (76lb/ft). Check out all 3 full-sized spy shots after the jump.

It also sports Y-spoke wheels and a single sided swingarm from the Ducati Hypermotard. Radial front brake and clutch reservoirs, and maybe improved Brembo radial mount brakes would mean massive stopping power. Expect the Monster 1100 to be officially unveiled at the 2008 EICMA show in November.
